today I started working on a series of drawings/paintings based on photos of my friend Oliver's home which recently burned down, thankfully he and his family escaped unharmed. The photos of the wreckage are for some reason appealing to me and with Oliver's blessing I am going to continue exploring them.

The drawing looks really nice. If you do introduce color, only introduce one to keep the stark feeling. Ya'mean?
ReplyDeleteya, thats exactly what I was thinking, maybe just a strange color for the sky and coming through in certain parts where you can see straight through the house
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful, and odd. Atleast odd for me, seeing how it is my house. I love it, and I really do hope you do more. Have all your art friends draw pictures of my house! It can be a collage for the new house.
